Johannes Jancke studied film production at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, specializing in International Producing. He participated in the UCLA Hollywood Masterclass in Los Angeles and received a scholarship from the VFF (Collecting Society of Film and Television Producers). As his graduation projects, he produced the feature films WE ARE THE TIDE (Wir sind die Flut) and 24 WEEKS, which premiered in competition at the 66th Berlinale, was subsequently screened at more than 70 festivals in Germany and abroad, and won, among other awards, the German Film Award in Silver in 2017.

From 2016 to 2019, he worked as producer for Riva Film (Hamburg) and, among many other projects, oversaw the international co-production SIBEL, which premiered in competition at the Locarno Film Festival in 2018. From 2019 to 2025, Johannes worked for Bon Voyage Films (Hamburg), where he was involved, among other projects, in the international co-production LAND OF DREAMS by Shirin Neshat, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2021 (Orizzonti Extra).

Most recently, he produced the Netflix series THE SIGNAL (2024) and the international co-production EACH OF US (currently in post-production). Since the end of 2025, Johannes has been working as a freelance producer for Wüste Film in Hamburg. He is a member of both the European Film Academy (EFA) and the German Film Academy (DFA).
